LZDoom

LZDoom is an advanced Doom source port based on GZDoom 3.3.2 that is being developed by drfrag which focuses in combining the old GL renderer [More info] with newer features, thus being an interesting option for those who have older hardware, but want to run newer mods.

I mean, for those who have desktops or laptops without a powerful enough setup run the newest and increasingly demanding GZDooms, can enjoy what the Vintage and Legacy editions of the port that were withdrawn from it.
LZDoom supports recent (and relevant) ZScript functions, but maintains performance and the option to use software or hardware renderer. The port also includes some custom creator settings, but the only one we saw so far was a new level of difficulty called "Unholy Massacre". One thing that may please some people is that, at least in its current version, LZDoom doesn't start with filters that renders the game kinda blurred and ugly for many.

Note that LZDoom is still a fork in its early stages of development. There might be more good stuff coming in the future for us.

Video

In the above video, I made a test on LZDoom with the following mods loaded: NUTS and Russian Overkill. Don't forget to turn on the English subtitles.
