Minecraft Doom

Minecraft Doom is a single player mod for Doom II created by Enginitori inspired by Minecraft that brings elements from Mojang's hit to the iconic id Software's first-person shooter.

The mod brings Minecraft-like maps and its graphics, sounds, monsters, background music and weapons, but still features a standard first-person shooter gameplay, having no crafting or block moving at all. Despite this limitation (even though I think is not possible to do even in the latest advanced Doom ports), Minecraft Doom displays an impressive attention to details that was involved on its development. An unaware spectator might think it's Minecraft instead of the good old Doom.
There is only a demo from the mod available, and it was released in 2011. No updates were published ever since, making me believe that its development is been halted or even cancelled.

Compatibility

Minecraft Doom is only compatible with GZDoom (I tested it probably on 1.8.2) and needs an IWAD with the DOOM2.WAD structure, like the ones from Doom II: Hell on Earth, Final Doom and Freedoom's phase 2.

Attention: This is one of the most intransigent mods I have ever seen. It only works with GZDoom and running a specific configuration file (mcdoom.ini). Fortunately, everything comes in the file that the author made available for download. Just configure it with an IWAD and run the Minecraft Doom.bat file by double-clicking it. In our download file, from DepositFiles, all you have to do is run the Minecraft Freedoom.bat file. It will use the Freedoom2.wad file in case you do not know how to configure IWAD or are too lazy to do it.
