Guncaster is a Doom mod developed by PillowBlaster that transforms the game's protagonists into Cygnus Flaynithere, a powerful kind of dragon who, besides being able to fly and counting with a devastating melee attack, can use a wide range of special skills.
All the weapons were also modified, are way more efficient than the regular ones and can be also upgraded in a shop in where you can buy skills, items, and weapons as well, with the gold you collect as you progress through the game. Guncaster's plot has ties to Heretic and Hexen.

Plot
As the dimensional mess, caused by by the serpent riders started to take its toll, the universes began to crumble under the pressure of chaos sphere. Anomalies were a common bread, and things started to be really ugly. From one of the worlds which received such treatment comes Cygnis Flaynithere, a bit crazed hero-wannabe, who's also far from being a human, and a skillful gunslinger which actually hates magic, as it's the cause of all of the mess he was thrown into. Still, he doesn't mind using it to get the job done. What kind of job, you may ask? That'd be kicking D'Sparil's ass, of course!
Compatibility
Guncaster is relatively CPU intensive and, in it 3.x version, worked here on GZDoom 3.3.0 and superior. The mod seems to run fine with the IWADs from Doom II: Hell on Earth, Freedoom, Final Doom, Hexen and Heretic.
