Kriegsland II

Kriegsland II: Untergrund is a Doom mod developed by GAA1992 that brings an arsenal inspired on the games from the Wolfenstein franchise. It's the sequel to the original Kriegsland, as you can imagine, even though we can't see any direct reference in one work to another.
Kriegsland II also adds new effects, HUDs, screens, sounds, messages and a night vision system that can be used anytime, anywhere. Besides that, all the mod’s weapons have zoom and, in most cases, can be dual wielded (akimbo), thus renewing, alongside the grenades and the quick melee kick that can be activated with separate keys, the gameplay of the classic id Software’s first person shooter.

The above video is a Kriegsland II showcase made in our traditional style. Don't forget to turn the English subtitles on if you can't understand Portuguese!

The next one shows Kriegsland II combined with Brutal Doom v21 Monsters Only in the Crazy Joe Devola map.

Plot

Nova Berlin, 1985. The Nazis won World War II and have been imposing their horrors to the world for four decades. After that much of socialism, the poverty and disgrace that invariably result from this became more evident and weakened the Third Reich. Amid a ruined society,  Forest Tyler is a former Nazi collaborator who will use all of his arsenal and equipments to destroy this tyrannical regime.

Short Facínora's review

Well, I'd say Kriegsland II deserves to carry the first mod's name which is also very good. The animations, graphics, sound effects and its other elements were very well used and combined here I'd also say that it refreshes the gameplay, besides being able to be combined with virtually any Doom monster pack. By the way, the huge K2's compatibility is also, in fact, one of its highlights. As you'll see down below, it works with almost every IWAD I know. And the new weapons, besides being visually splendid, are good to use and very efficient, though not to the point of making the game too easy next to vanilla.

Compatibility

I ran Kriegsland II here on GZDoom (2.4.0, 3.7.2 and 4.2.0) and LZDoom 3.82, with the IWADs from Doom II: Hell on Earth, The Ultimate Doom, Final Doom, Freedoom, Heretic, Chex Quest, Chex Quest 3, Hacx, Strife and Hexen. Looks like it works fine with all that.
